Vandoren VK1 synthetic reeds tenor sax
Vandoren VK1 tenor sax
The new VK series of synthetic reeds is made from a composite material specially developed by Vandoren and is the result of seven years of research. The composite fiber does not imitate the structure of reed, but reproduces its essential physical characteristics to achieve the same acoustic performance.
VK reeds perform significantly longer than natural reeds with a high degree of consistency.
VK reeds should be stored on a flat surface, preferably in a reed holder with a flat surface (not a standard reed holder).
The reeds can be used straight from the package without any preparation. The material is washable and can be disinfected with alcohol or a food-grade disinfectant.
Seven Vandoren VK1 strengths are available for tenor saxophones.
The strengths fall between 2.5 and 3.5 traditional reed strengths.
Features:
- The material is stable, moisture- and rot-resistant
- It does not warp when drying and is resistant to saliva
- The material is fully recyclable
- The same acoustic behavior as natural reeds
- Reliable consistency in strength, sound, articulation, projection, and stability
- Made in France in Bormes les Mimosas
