The Prima thumb rest makes it easy to keep your flute properly balanced. It also reduces the pressure of the flute on your lips, encourages correct finger positioning, and helps prevent tension in your fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders. The ergonomically shaped thumb rest prevents the thumb from slipping to the left and the flute from rolling towards the player, especially when changing octaves. The Prima thumb rest allows the right hand to be more open and relaxed, allowing the ring and little fingers to move more easily to the lower keys. The Prima also has a beneficial effect on the left hand. When there is an imbalance when changing octaves, the left hand compensates and tends to tense up. The Prima thumb rest prevents this.

The Prima consists of two parts. The adjustable thumb rest can be attached to the mounting plate, which remains on the flute, in a second. This means the thumb rest can be installed very quickly and always returns to the same position. This platform is also adjustable under the flute. The thumb rest is attached to the flute using silicone rubber inserts and straps. This prevents damage or deformation of the instrument and allows it to vibrate freely.
